Just got out of hospital after a week of being pumped full of anti biotics. I was taken in by ambulance last monday, in the space of 1/2 hr I went from well enough to blistering headache, rigors, numb fingertips & heart rate of 140. The ambulance guys said I was exhibiting signs of septis.
Well it wasn't septis thankfully & the truth is they dont know what it was, more stool samples than I've ever done in my life & nothing untoward.
Just relieved to be home & feeling better tbh.

Please try some good probiotics and stay on them. I took Natren Healthy Trinity after bad reaction to antibiotics and it has made a great difference. May be worth trying!

Hi Mickey, the problem I have is that I've yet to find a probiotic that doesn't increase the diarrhea. Which in turn brings back Fissure's & Hemorrhoids.

I hope they got all the infection! We're between a rock and a hard place - take suppressants and be susceptible to infections, or risk having the IBD go rampaging through our guts.

Spot on Miss Underestimated, I think they have because I feel as normal as can be. But where it came from & the speed it happened in ( 1/2 hr) had me panicking a fair bit tbh.

My doc recommended: The Jarrow Formulas, Jarro-Dophilus EPS, 5 Billion Organisms per Capsule, 120 Veggie Caps is very good and more affordable. This one is “Room Temperature Stable”, requires no refrigeration. Another one, that has some of the same strains of good bacteria is Natren Healthy Trinity. I am going to finish this one before I try the Jarrow. I noticed an immediate difference with the Natren, and I have tried numerous probiotics, so I now understand why she told me it is the bacteria strain that makes the difference. I am taking approx 5 a day and then will taper down to 1/day as my stomach settles down. Good luck!

I assume you mean when I increased the amount taken? yes, initially. However, thereafter it has been two/day, which has been good. I do feel as though my bowels are empty, instead of the "not finished" feeling. However, they are healthy bm. I needed a kick to get myself back on track. I feel less "toxic" from the antibiotics and normal belly feeling. I can actually suck my stomach in and not feel inflammation, so I feel it working....
