Bathroom Medic Alert Cards

Just wanted to share this from another IBD forum... this organization will send you pre-printed bathroom access cards. It isn't a law in all US states, but I'm sure you could still pull it out and the kid behind the counter isn't going to know the difference.

yep, a few of us on this site received that exact card from that site and it works.

The CCFA also offers one if you become a paid member and you get all their other perks too.

I think most people got theirs with no issue, but I did want to point out that I requested this card, then a few months later, requested it again because I had never received it. It wasn't until a few months after that that they finally sent me the card - and then another one shortly after. It did come, it just took a while, so I wanted to throw that out there in case anyone else has difficulties getting the card.

Everyone I know is jealous of my card, though.

I have that card, one Cimzia sent me and the CCFA one. I think CCFA support groups hand them out for free. It would seem really unreasonable to have to join CCFA just for the card.

I've been to a CCFA support group and never received a card. I think it just depends on the group maybe.......and you don't join CCFA just for the card...your dues go towards funding the research and keeping the organization operating, newsletters...etc...so whether or not you want the CCFA card depends on the person and if they want all of the extra information that will come with it

I think it's great to support CCFA and I do but I think they should send cards to those who can't afford membership. Luckily the other org sends them.

I have received one from that link years back but tried to get one for a friend. It seems they no longer supply them but maybe email and see if there are any left?

I know this is an old thread...but was just looking for info on obtaining a card. When I click the link above it goes to Mount Sinai website. Does anyone know how to go about getting a card? I can't find any info on their website, wasn't sure if Mount Sinai is who provided them previously. Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. I have a card I got from my gi but it's not the greatest.
