I have an appointment with my consultant next month when I have to discuss if I will go for a reversal of my colostomy. I have had it a year and have not had any problems with it except for the fact that it is right on my waistline and this makes it very uncomfortable.
Getting a colostomy was due to complications from another surgery so it was a massive shock.
He did say last time I saw him that it would be a very difficult procedure and that the outcome may not be great as he may have to take the remaining part of my large bowel away and I will only have my small bowel left. This could lead me to need to go 4 or 5 times a day and he did say that I may have 'accidents'. Has anyone's else had a reversal?
I am going to ask if it is possible to move it down a bit as that may be the best option. Has anyone had this done?
Thanks
