birth control

So for the past 5 years I've had a copper IUD in. It worked very well until after I became symptomatic. Don;t get me wrong it still worked but I started having problems with it. A few days leading to my period I would get semi-intense cramps and my periods jumped from 4 days to 6 days. I also started having bleeding outside of my period and I was also getting monthly yeast infections. I made the desition to evict the IUD and start a pill. Yesturday I had the IUD removed and I'm already feeling better...it feels like my uterus isn't swollen(I'm allergic to nickle)

So noe this is my question...are there any birth control pills which could worsen my crohns symptoms? I was put on a very low dose estrogen pill since I'm sensitive to synthetic hormons. I took the first pill today and after some feelings of a knotted stomache(could be because it's the 1st day of my period which surprisingly isn't as crampy as it was) after the stoache troubles passed I feel decent. I'm just concerned how the pill may affect my crohns symptoms and my treatment(I asked the pharmasist and he sort of looked at me like a deer in headlights then said no there shouldn't be any interactions)

Anyway sorry for that being so long any help is appreciated.

The IBD & She webcast at CCFA is a great resource on this topid (I can't link yet, but you can go to CCFA and look it up) -- I think they said that low dose estrogen is the best for Crohn's patients. I have been on a low dose estrogen pill, but I went off for reasons not related to Crohn's. I also tried the NuvaRing, but I was getting frequent yeast infections.

I'm on full dose ortho cyclen 28 day tablets. No extra problems when I switched from the low dose form.
