Long day. Doc was here at 7:30 a.m. and my wonderful hubby was here too. Dr L. agrees that I need to be seen somewhere else which opens up choices, not decided as of yet, but include....Tampa, Gainesville, well enough for home for a couple of days first, or hospital to hospital transfer. He is working on these options now. Also, he did an ultrasound on my legs and I've developed DVT - Deep vein thrombosis?. It's basically blood clots in the legs from lack of activity, usually happens when one has been sick. Got one shot in the stomach tonight and another every 12 hours until it clears up.

Stronger, different meds, feeling different. I actually sit and cat-nap at the computer while I'm typing and slept all afternoon. I think I might actually sleep tonight. HHOOOORAAAYYYY!!!!!!! I know, don't get my hopes up, but we'll see. I'll be lurking around a little while until they bring me my meds.

Be seeing ya'll around tomorrow. Have a great night/day, etc whatever it is where you are.....and Dexky, if you make one comment on the time zone, I will hunt you down....

At least you have something to go by now.

I'm glad they found the DVT early so they can treat it.

What meds are you on? When I was on dilaudid I couldn't even come onto the computer because the computer felt so weird to look at.haha

Keeping you in my prayers,

Jeff

I just saw a commercial today about DVT. Those clots can cause strokes heart attacks. It was a Plavix commercial but I'm not sure if we can take it cause it says something about stomach ulcers. Anyhoo, glad you know what was causing those leg aches. Glad you saw the doc early too and I'm glad you have more choices now and will hopefully get everything sorted out soon.

I'm so happy for you MisB that things are finally moving along and you have some answers. YAY!!!!!!!!!

BTW are you wearing the lovely white stockings??? :eek2:

Thinkin' about ya, :)
Dusty

glad to hear you sounding more hopeful and positive, hun... keeping you in my thoughts constantly, and sending you ((HUGS)) xx

MisB I had or thought I had DVT, had the needles in the belly too (it is easier to say what I havent been on) but I do an exercise if I am sitting too long anywhere anytime. You do clockwise and counter clock wise circles with your feet so you are circulating. Do this ten times a few times a day or when ever you think of it. Been fine ever since!

Glad things are looking up for ya!

So glad to hear you sounding more cheerful, Bev! I hope things continue to improve and that your DVT clears up and that you get to sleep through the night. I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Hiya Bev

some great news at last! at least someone is gonna do something!
about the DVT, Pen is right, do lots of exercises with your feet! I've had to wear the lovely white stockings too after my op, bloody awful in sweltering heat! hate anything on my legs!
hope you're ok hun, try and get plenty of rest but don't forget your feet exercises!
xxxxx
