Hey there. Okay, I got back some blood test results today (get my colonoscopy biopsy results back May 9) My GP thinks I have IBD particularly ulcerative colitis. He is going by my history, symptoms, blood work, Ct scans etc that i've had done over the past few years. I am seeing a colorectal surgeon who did my colonoscopy. Initial findings during colonoscopy was bleeding and inflammation in the rectum. So my family GP wanted to send me for some blood work to see if anything would come back to substantiate his thoughts. eGFR came back at 77 (kidney function) range 60-89 is recommended to be screened for chronic kidney disease if in a high risk group. First question: if I have a form of IBD does this put me into a high risk group? Second irregular result was Vitamin D (low): result was 63 range was 75-250. And third irregular result was (CRP)C-Reactive Protein (hi): Result was 10 range < 8. I also had ESR test, and came back with 18 (range 0-20) so looks okay there too. Now I am on B12 tabs as I am also deficient. Result for that was 357 and range: 198-615 so thats not too bad, looks like the sublingual tabs are doing their job. So question are some of these values consistent with IBD?:sign0085:

Still trying to figure all this out, and thanks for taking the time to listen, love this forum!

I don't understand many of them but ESR and CRP are both measures of inflammation. I am recovering from a flare and my CRP was 65 after 4 weeks of steroids so I am not sure how significant 10 would be.

What were the GP's thoughts? Are you having any other investigations or going on any meds?

My gp sent all the results to the surgeon I see him May 9 when I get the results of the biopsy's. Gp said if he doesn't refer me to a gastro that he will, but we want to see the results of the biopsys first.
