Bruising? Im having randonm bruises show up?

I have been having random bruises show up. 3rd large bruise in 2 weeks.

The one this morning is on my arm. The other 2 were on my shin & my foot.

Is this a side effect?

I just had my 3rd injection this past Saturday.

Bruising can be a sign of a low platelet count too, have you had that checked recently?

I get them alot when my red blood count is low, I am extremely anemic and when my Crohns flares and I tend to be bleeding from the inside, my outsides tend to bruise more often. Shannon

Okay - I think Im going to call the Rhuemy. I was just at my regular doctors three weeks ago with inflamed glands at the base of my neck. My TBC was normal then but I was also on Pred.

Do you have regular blood tests? When I first started taking H I had a blood test after every dose to check all the blood levels. Now I have one every few months.

I'm on 6mp and I have regular bruising from nowhere. I've also been noticing if I cut myself a little bit I gush blood for a good 15mins to half an hr. I mean it gushes! I cut my finger while at work and it gushed blood I had to change paper towles like 8 times before it finally slowed enough to put a bandaid on it. I also find I scar a lot more too. Since being on 6mp I've aquired a lot moe scars than I usually do lol.

Well, I just got back from the hospital. I talked to my regular doctor as he was on call last night and he said he would squeeze me in this morning. I woke up today pounding headache still and stomach really hurting. I found another large bruise on my knee! I made my way to work (in chicago and my doctors are at northwestern next to work) I called and they could not squeeze me in. I dont even think they talked to my GP. Very frustrating. Anyways I was so dizzy, pounding headache, joints hurting so I sucked it up and walked over to the emergency room. I didnt really want to go I was just concerned.

They said my blood results look good and gave me some fluids. They also talked to my rheumatoligist and she didnt want them to put me on prednisone. She doesnt want to confuse it with the Humira when it starts working. She just wanted me to hang in there with the Humira and to make a folow up appointment with her. I scheduled an appointment for early next Monday morning.

Im taking a vacation day tomorrow from work and just relax.

Yeah, cant weight to add more bills to my already 3grand of medical bills on my credit card!
