Budesonide and Thrush

Yes. I now have constant " black tongue" is what they call chronic thrush. It is terribly hard to treat if at all. Since budesonide is a " milder" sterod it does decrease our immune system, thus thrush! Ugh...it is somewhat embarrassing when speaking, so i take every precaution to minimize it. Good luck Warge, nystatin swish n swallow does help some since if its in the mouth it works its way down your throat. - hugs-

I experienced Thrush whilst on Prednisone. I had a weeks course of antibotics and used anti bacterial mouthwash, I also drank Pineapple juice as i heard that can help and in time it disappeared.

Unfortunately I have Lichen Planus in my mouth which makes it impossible for me to use mouth washes. My dermatologist gave me a long term tablet to alleviate it but at the moment it seems to be back or the lichenplanus playing up because i am so tired and run down. Just got back from holiday and rested but still feel tired. I seem to have so many thngs wrong with me at the moment. Waiting for a resection and hoping that everything will get better for a while. I know it will come back but hopefully will get time to "regroup"
