Hi
I've been on Entocort (budesonide) since October 2010. The only problems I've had with it have been that it took an awfully long time to make a difference. A whole month as opposed to 3 days with pred. I have tried to come off it twice but flared up again so my GI has decided to keep me on it until I get a definite diagnosis though he believes I have CD. I'm now on 6mg.
Entocort only works in the terminal ilium I believe so if your CD is located elsewhere it may do nothing. It does not effect the rest of the body so you get much less side effects but you still need to take calcium.
