whats up everybody. I am new to the forum.
I was diagnosed with a mild case of Crohns 2 yrs ago.
I have gone about 6 months with no problems at all. I'm on sulfasalazine.
All of sudden for the past week or two I have had a little bit of blood. Would this be just a flare up that i should wait for it to pass or should I call the doc?

thanks for any suggestions or help.

It never hurts to call the doctor. If nothing else, you will feel better just letting him know. Stress reduction.

Seconded. Never hurts to call the doctor. He...ck, I even had my old doctor's home phone number. Worst they'll say is to come in and see 'em.

thanks for the replies.....I guess Ill just call him Monday.
I havent really changed my diet so I dont know what is causing this. Maybe I just need more sulfasalazine. I only take 2 pills twice a day.

Although the site of blood isn't unusual, it's worth a call to the doctor. It could be a case of haemeroidcs (sp?), or it could be the warning sign of a deteriorating issue.

In any event, someone should check it out, and unless you're extremely flexible, that looks like a job for your doctor...
