That is interesting. They monitored serum levels (rather than stool) for the study. Bareket- I sent you a PM with a question.
 
Interesting, I never knew Calprotectin was used for that. Spondyloarthritis/Ankylosing Spondylitis is associated with Crohn's though (both my daughters have it) so that makes sense.
Our rheumatologist said around 60% of people with Ankylosing Spondylitis have subclinical gut inflammation (inflammation without symptoms) so it makes sense that Calprotectin is associated with progression.
