Can food poisoning bring back Crohn's Disease trouble?

I had surgery in June 2005 and found out I had Crohn's Disease. Since surgery I've had nothing more than a tiny bit of diarrhea maybe once or twice a month (one or two trips and it was over.) Four days ago I got food poisioning from milk.

Does any one know if the food poisioning or inflammation can bring back Crohn's Disease trouble? Or will the food poisioning/inflammation pain go away normally as if I had no Crohn's Disease? I'm currently on Pentasa, 500 MG three times a day.

Gradually over the last four days it's gone from pain every where and filling like being stabed on the right end, to now only having the pain on the bottom/right area, about where I had the pain before surgery, (My appendix was taken out during surgery, because it was ready to burst, so nothing can burst there.) and I'm having no trouble keeping food in my stomach, unlike before surgery where I lost 60 pounds over five months.

I've had my share of food poisoning before and most of the time I get very sick for a week or so (fever, vomitting , cramping, lower right area pain and tenderness..) and then things settle down. You have to watch very carefully what you eat, drink lots of water, and rest and hopefully things will resolve by themselves... Good Luck and hope you go back to remission soon
