Hey ladies,
I'm currently on methotrexate, folic acid, plaquenil, remicade and a low dose of minocycline (antibiotics for acne). I get yeast infections quite frequently and was hoping maybe I could take a probiotic to help prevent them once I get the latest infection cleared up.
I haven't been able to find any information if there is any negative drug interaction to taking a probiotic while on all these meds. Anyone have any experience?
I realize that my methotrexate and remicade lower my immune system and a probiotic kind of helps out the immune system so would they cancel each other out? I'm not comfortable talking to my GI or rheumy about this and my family doctor is near impossible to get in to see.
