Does scar tissue hurt when it's forming? Does it hurt (when you're not eating or passing stool?)

I'm so worriedd (when am I not? lol). After being off meds for almost 2 years, mild inflammation(no scarring) was seen this May (colonoscopy) and by CT (June). I started Entocort 6mg from June to late Sept, then Entocort 3mg til Oct 9th. From Oct 9th to Nov 11th, I was just on Pentasa. Initiallly Pentasa 2g but I increased it since I was developing RLQ soreness. SO back on Entocort 9mg Nov 11th, due to taper to 6mg tomorrow (it's given me chest palps and gastritis in the past so they shortened the time) while sticking to Pentasa and 6mp. Yesterday and today I noticed the RLQ has kinda come back (it was gone a few days after re-starting Entocort!) But also, I started the "lady cycle" lol on Sun...so i'm hoping it's an ovary?! I'm SO so worried that I've given myself scar tissue by putting off consistent treatment first of all, and second through stopping and restarting Entocort...

How long/many helaing cycles til you develop scar tissue? Are there people here who don't have any and have gone in and out of inflammation?

I'm not ever going to forgive myself if I've developed some...this could have been prevented if I would have just...listened.

You didn't give yourself scar tissue (if you have it), the disease did. Starting, stopping or changing meds while fighting this disease happens. Complications, side effects, allergic reactions... you may as well wish to control the weather. If you are following doctors advice, taking your meds when/how instructed, eating smart, and getting your rest, then you are doing EVERYTHING that you are supposed to do. And that's all any of us can do.

Thank you, Kev but for some reason...I would still think of it as me allowing it to form by not following the doc's advice in the past! I mean, medication would prevent it right? Or are there people who still form scar tissue despite taking medication? I know Remicade can induce scarring...

Thing is, not all meds are effective for all people. So even if you're on meds you could develop scar tissue. I was diagnosed when I was five or six, and was consistently on meds throughout childhood, but still developed scar tissue and had to undergo surgery. After the second surgery in five years, I decided to stop taking meds (typical teenage attitude), and was mostly fine for well over 10 years. I "take" Humira now as the last hospital/surgery event was traumatic (oh, the NHS!).

Do your best to keep things under control--including stressing about the scar tissue--and you can feel good that you've done the best you can.

I was told from my GI stricturing crohns is a sub type and that I don't have stricturing crohns, but I take l glutamine and drink bone broth aswell which repairs the inrestinal layer just to be safe.
