Hi all,
If any of you have ever tried buying this drink then you'll be aware of how expensive it is. I'm wondering if there's any place you can buy it on the cheap? I know this drink is available on prescription but I can't imagine any doctor prescribing these on a permanent basis, probably just because of the price.
I don't know why these drinks are SO expensive so I'm trying to find an alternative. For 200ml @ £2.96 / $4.79, they really aren't viable. I've been searching for protein drinks and weight gainers on the web and bodybuilding drinks would seem to be the way to go to get the calories. My only issue is those drinks are always bloating and very filling and I want something that doesn't give that effect (just so I can get more calories). Fortijuice drinks can be downed like a glass of water without any issues and give 300kcal per 200ml bottle.
I'm seeing my GP about some stuff and I'm gonna ask him about them but I already know the answer. I know these technically aren't marketed for long term use but there's no good reason why we shouldn't be allowed to use these for life/long term, as a supplemental source of calories and nutrition. Four of these a day would be an extra 1,200 calories and it's like drinking water.
Does anyone know of any alternatives to these aside from the bodybuilding drinks I already mentioned?
Thanks.
