Hi all,
I am going to start taking canasa suppositories.
Anything I should watch for? Side effects or anything?

They are pretty good with limited side effects (if any). Just watch out in the morning: If you are a farter than the liquid from the suppository will come out, so make sure you are on the bowl.

So I have taken these for a few days and they give me pain in the guts and anus. The gut pain is not so bad but the anal pain is fairly bad. I saw it listed as "other side effects" for it online so since it is not under the "severe side effects" I don't think you are supposed to stop taking it because of that...? Does anyone else get this from Canasa supositories? Is there a better way to deal with it then tylenol?

I have taken Canasa before. I took it to help with the rectal pressure/pain, but this issue just doesn't go away for me. So, it would be hard for me to say if Canasa caused pain in my anus, because it's a regular thing for me. But if this continues, phone your GI to discuss your concerns. I hope you feel better.
