I am so glad they are getting the facts they need to prove what is already known by some suffering with disease already, as David stated.

Before the medical community will accept a treatment, there must be clinical studies done.

I still wish the doctors would read what is written on this forum. They could get a lot of studies going to treat what has already been working.

There might not be a connection, but thought this interesting. Saw today in the news a study on marijuana helping to controlling diabetes.

With the study showing marijuana helping with UC, and this diabetes study, it reminded me of those with IBD conditions that use as treatment some of the diets that reduce sugar intake, such as SCD or paleo. The IBD diets are pretty much the same as what many use to control their diabetes.

"Could marijuana reduce diabetes risk?"

Not necessarily. There's medicinal marijuana that contains very little of the canniboids that get you "high" , while still retaining all the other beneficial chemicals that provide relief.
