I am now 1 week off Prednisone and 6 weeks on Humira. I seemed to have more of an appetite on Prednisone even at very low levels. Since I've been off the Pred I feel somewhat hungry but just don't know what to eat. I'm still on a low fiber diet. Lactose intolerant. Meat just seems so heavy on my stomach at dinner time. I tend to eat light meals like cereal, rice and eggs, toast. I wonder if my symptoms are coming back now that I'm off the pred?

Take it slow. Only add one thing back to your diet at a time, wait a few days and see how you feel. If you start to feel sick, back off that food and wait a few more days, then try something else. Still try to stay away from fruits and veggies, add those to your diet last.

for light meals or when I don't feel like eating alot I usually eat soups and crackers. They warm up my stomach and make me "full" but not in a heavy way. If you want to keep it simple, chicken noodle soup would be good or cream soups is my favourite :)

How long have you been on reduced diets? You may actually need to retrain your stomach to eat larger portions again. As said above, take it easy. Get some stuff you like the smell of - Italian food if you can. I can't eat it, but it always makes me hungry! Food that smells that good should be illegal.

Yes small amounts of food through out the day. It is hard on my husband when I tell him I don't feel like eating a big dinner. I'm not even hungry at dinner time. He misses our "dinner time " together. What has seemed to be the hardest to eat is meat. I have always liked it but if I try to eat say a hamburger it better be at lunch. Still then I seem very full after eating meat. Forget steak right now. Since I'm not eating salads or vegetables it seems like eggs and rice and cereal with coconut milk are my main staples along with peanut butter and crackers.
