Soooo, I always loved the Silk soy milk and well, I was ok with other brand as well... but since I've learned that carrageenan was to be avoided in order to preserve the integrity of my digestive system, I've stopped drinking them.

I did my own soy milk/almond milk and, even though I appreciate the taste (well almond was great but soy tasted like bean juice...), it is a bit messy and time consuming and would still appreciate being able to buy a healthy product that comes from a container.

That being said, I think it would be a great idea to write to these companies and suggest them to maybe remove that ingredient. I already started, I'm guessing if they get many request, maybe the panel would consider alternatives.

All I will say is stay far, far away from carrageenan.

Also, almond milk is sugar water (at least the almond milk in my grocery stores). Read the label. No fat, no protein. It's like almond flavored kool aid.

I totally agree it would be good to have a campaign on a petition site to try to get some of our Crohnie foods carrageenan free.

The Whole Foods soy milk is carrageenan free.

Really? I'll have to check this one out again.
I had in mind there was some in it but maybe I just looked at the shelve version ingredients. I wonder if there might be a difference between the one in Canada and the one in the US as well.

From their website. Not sure if they change the product by country. Only almond milk I drink now. Find the others that dont have carrageenan have more gums than this one.
