Ok this is a question I'm asking for my girlfriend's sake, because she really needs help. She has had chronic yeast infections for over two years. She's went to the low-cost clinic gyne and they gave her diflucan which didn't help (she doesn't have insurance). Shes been taking 50 billion vaginal support probiotics with something called candi-gone and been on a special diet for a while now. It won't go away. She's understandably frustrated. She does have intestinal issues as well, particularly an acid reflux where she burps a lot. We keep going down roads and they go nowhere, so just hoping someone out here will point us in the right direction, thank you.

If she has had this alot, then you must be treated as well, you can pass it back and forth. Canesten the oral ones, help, but it is not cheap. The other thing is so avoid sugar, if she takes the oral canesten and also takes Maalox for acid reflux, best to take the ant acid first wait an hour or so , so the acid in her system doesn break done the pill or the good bacteria. She should go back to the doctor, it could be something else, intestinal issues shouldn't be taken lightly.

Don't know how effective yoghurt will be if the infection is that chronic but a plain acidophilus yoghurt placed on a tampon and inserted is effective for some women. Others say it makes no difference at all. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Dusty. :)
