In human anatomy the [wiki2="Lumen"]lumen[/wiki2] refers to the space in a hollow tube, so in the body it would be structures like the intestines, blood vessels, etc.
In the context of Crohn’s it is referring to disease in the small and large bowel as opposed to the oral cavity, stomach or it’s extra intestinal manifestations.
