cold and hot - a symptom?

Hi, folks!

I'm new to this disease (diagnosed last Thursday), and have mild symptoms thankfully.

What I'm wondering is if any of you feel like your body can't regulate temperature properly? I go from a little cold to a little too warm and back again on most days and just wonder if this is related or not.

Any of you ever feel this way?

Thanks,
~T~

Thanks, Katiesue

Now I won't ask my doc to test for perimenopause (again)! I'd like to just deal with one thing at a time if it's possible!

Hi & Welcome! I tend to run hot in the mornings especially if I'm having a bad "evacuation" kind of day. I'll be cold when I'm anemic too. I was told if we have inflamation we may run a temp and therefore feel hot. So you are not alone!

Hye T,

Also if you take prednisolone, that can sometimes cause that reaction to some people. It's not uncommon for sure.

I have the same thing! Been freezing for the past 2 days......But I am usually the one who thinks the room is too warm.

I freeze all day and sweat all night while I sleep....so I guess I get hotter when I'm sleeping.

my fingers are frozen 24/7 while my body is always normal.. anyone know what that means?

I'm always cold. Even though I live in a Mideteranean country, with sun 300 days per year and beach almost all spring and summer :)

Even in the summer when it's 35 C outside, I sleep with windows closed and covers on. My fingers and feet are always freezing...

I remember asking this to my doctor and he made a blood test for some gland, but everything was normal.

I think it's because we who have Crohn's are typically this and we need much more calories than we eat....

Yes, my husband says I have a happy temperature window of about 2 degrees. I turn from hot to cold on a dime.

It doesn't fluctuate at all with me. I am always hot. It just started happening too about a couple of weeks ago. I will be sweating and my husband will be freezing. I will turn the heat off and he gets mad and turns it back on. It is an everyday battle.

It is most likely anemia. This is what makes you cold most likely, meds could be giving you hot flashes also.
