Colonscopy question

hi all, Hubby is going for colonoscopy at 1.30 pm tom Thursday July 11, I gave him the powder stuff in a glass of water at 8 am Wed July 10 as per doc instruction,s At 3 pm same day 4 tablets of dulcolex, it is now 10.30 pm on Wed evening and still nothing. is this normal, He has had cdif and has litterally pooped everything out in the last few months but I have had a colonoscopy and i remember that i had to have the toilet beside me. what could be causing nothing to come out. he has had no solid foods since this am and drank 2 liters of clear fluids. hope i will not be up all night when it does happen but at least i can look forward to finding out what is wrong with him tomorrow . thank you for your help oh and he has to take another envelope of the pro silec stuff at 6 am on thursday with another 2-3 liters of clear fluids

If he's already been having a lot of diarrhea and/or not eating much, the prep is probably going to be pretty uneventful because there's not much for it to clear out.

When you say the powder, you do mean Miralax, don't you? Just to confirm, you gave him one glass of water with Miralax? If so, please check the instructions again just to make sure this is correct. I've always drank it in much larger quantities - 238 grams of Miralax in 64 ounces of liquid.

If things haven't changed or if there was a mistake with the prep, please call his doctor's office as soon as possible to let them know.

it is pico-silax mixed in 5 ounces of water and then to drink 4 liters of clear fluids in a four hour period. the second packet of pico -silax the next morning with another 4 liters of fluids plus the 4 pills of dulcolax the day before. still nothing as off 7 am thursday morn, colonoscopy is in 6 hours

well had the colonoscopy done, they did have to use a lot of water to clean him out, took off one polop, and dr said that he thinks that his bowel sort of clenches closed and that is why he gets bound up a lot of times and when he showed me the pictures i could see the little pieces of poo stillin there nothing else showed up , now to get rid of this cidficile, dr said if antibiaoics flagil doesnt clear it up after this amount of time than maybe we would have to think of a poo transplant. never heard of it but willing to try anything thanks for all the advice

There are threads about it on here on main forum page. They work great and it is a definate good treatment for him. That is wonderful and hope he gets it. Go to Forum Wiki at bottom of main forum page and type in the space fecal transplant and hit go under the search window. It will come up with articles about it.First click on the letter F for the letter you want to search articles first I forgot to mention.
