Oh sorry,

Now I see the posts from March and April about this research in this area of the forum. It seems to have been discussed quite a bit.

But anyhow, since I already posted this new thread, anyone try it and have any luck with it?

If I recall correctly, the studies involved 6 grams of Tonalin (proprietary brand found in other brands' products). I know Jarrow and Natrol, and others, use Tonalin in their CLA formulas.

I haven't stuck to taking it in that dosage for any length of time, so I can't say whether it works for me, or not. I just got two bottles of it for 60% off, so I'll probably give it a go again. Not too enthused at the 6 pill a day dosage, but I think it's worth a try.

I've taken it for about 3 weeks, about 5 days a week. Overall, I think it contributed to a higher tolerance to caffeine--my main cramp trigger--as well as generally smoother sailing. One tip though: take it with food. Once or twice I think it MAY have caused me slight stomach aches, on an empty stomach. Plus, I think that is the main reason to take it--so that the chemical/immuno digestion process (pretty scientific of me) doesn't aggravate inflammation any further.

I have been taking a Natrol product, containing Tonalin, at 5 pills (1200mg each) a day. I started out taking all five at once during the day, but have since split it. I generally think that it should be spaced to be taken at each bigger meal to offset any aggravation foods may cause (?nitrites/allergens/glycoalkaloids/proteins?) and, perhaps, calm twitchy innervation--only my opinions other than the whole CLA nitrite dynamic seems proven. I could be completely wrong, but I haven't found any specific dosage timing--just 6 grams a day.

Generally, I think others should give it a go. Surf mega online retailers for best % off--not necessarily Natrol only. Just look for Tonalin trademark in product description or on the box. I'm going to keep it up and report back.
