Constant Mucus

I've been having a bit of a flare lately. However, instead of seeing blood constantly I'm getting mucus and loud gas sometimes when it comes out. There are even times when majority of what comes out of me is mucus and it's been enough that today I didn't quite make it to the toilet before it started coming out of me.

Do I need to worry? I am still passing dark stool and sometimes diarrhea as well. But, am not sure if this might be a good time to be talking with a GI (as much as I enjoy doing so). :ybatty:

Call your GI. With UC, heavy mucus is an early sign of a flare-up.

Better not call today since I'm working and who knows how long I'd be on hold for. But, today's my friday and I have 3 days off. So, a phone call might be in store within the next 3 days. These are times when I do wish he had a website so I could email him instead!

Just checked on their website and looks like within the last few months they must have added where I can email my doctor!!! :dance: Will email him tonight after work so I can get all the info straight for him...
