i know everyone is different but i was just curious, how do you know when something you ate bothers you? i've been trying to stick to low residue diet, like my dr suggested, but recently i have been adding in a lot not on the diet. nothing seems to bother me right away. however, sometimes the next day in the bathroom i realize i must have had something that didn't set well. am i really hurting myself in eating whatever i want? because i can handle the effects it gives me now. i'm sure its terrible for me to eat whatever i want, but i live to eat and the thought of not being able to eat things i love is very depressing

Try keeping a food diary and eat only what you know doesn't bother you. After a while add in one new food and see if anything happens.
