hey guys was just wondering if anyone has been on budenofalk before its a corticosteroid medication i was just diagnosed in January with crohns and have been on 9mg capsules of budenofalk for the past month,i did not want to stay on it for more than one month so was just wondering if anyone else has just stopped taking it rather than gradually cut down the dose... doc said to try it and see how i feel for a month but everything ive read on the medication said not to just abruptly stop it

Just like prednisone or any other steroid, budenofalk should be tapered down slowly to prevent illness or other serious complications

If you stop taking Budenofalk

Speak to your doctor if you want to interrupt or end your treatment early. It is important that you do not stop taking your medicine suddenly as it could make you ill. Keep taking your medicine until your doctor tells you to stop, even if you start to feel better.

Your doctor will probably want to reduce your dose gradually, first from three to two capsules for 1 week (one in the morning and one in the evening) and then only one capsule a day in the last week of treatment (taken in the morning).

If you have any further questions on the use of this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
