Just a warning before we start I have left no gory parts out I'm usually shy but I need to know what's happening to me!!

Hi there!! So i just came across this forum and decided I would join :)

I'm 20yrs old and For about a month (a month ago) I had the symptoms of crohns and a week and a half ago I couldn't handle the stomach pains and throwing up and diarrhea any longer and went to the hospital where they quickly hooked me up to fluids and scheduled me in for a colonoscopy and a few days and nights in hospital with only being on a liquid diet I had my scope done and they came to me after showed me photos of the ulcers in my bowel and said I have Crohn's disease

That afternoon they sent me home with the Pred of 50mg (and too slowly wean off them) taken once a day and panadol and they said the gastro clinic would call me to make an appointment to discuss treatment and basically was told to just watch what I eat. I immediately cut out salad from my diet as well as most milk products and coffee.
For the first 4 days home The pain in my belly was constantly there but my D was becoming less and more harder. And yesterday I had no pain at all and felt great! I could still eat the majority of the food I used to buuut things took a turn for events when my girly things decided to come into play today at lunchtime :(

I woke up with a "rash" type thing down there (which I assumed was from constantly wiping all the time) like nappy rash. And now i have ulcers in my mouth again aswell as "ulcer" type lesions around the anus and when I need to poo all that comes out is bloody mucous like tissue (looks like blood clots) and it's so painful to pass a bm :( I'm not sure if my period is the cause of this? I don't know why I was becoming so good and now I'm back in the dumps again :(

I'm so confused, I have many other questions but this is my main concern for the moment, I would much appreciate any advice please! Tia

Hi and welcome! Yes, many of us girls flare a bit during our favorite time of the month. Even those who do fairly well the rest of the time will flare a bit then.

It does look like it might be a good thing to contact your doctor though and getting this checked out. Especially if you're having trouble passing a bm and it's looking like blood clots. Please keep us updated on how you're doing.

If your symptoms persist, or the bleeding and pain gets worse (double check to make sure it's not your period) them had back to the (um assuming your in the UK) a&e. Bleeding, except for a women's menstrual cycle, is never normal. Wishing you the best
