I didn't know that, but I'm helping celebrate by having a little flare of my own. So I'm still aware I have UC. :ybatty:

More seriously, I posted something on my Facebook page
 
I changed my facebook graphic and posted a few stats about IBD. Most people didn't seem to care and it's not going viral among people I know like breast cancer, heart disease or AIDS campaigns.
 
I find that the few people I've told seem very uninformed about Crohn's. It's definitely not discussed like other ailments. I have told very few people since my diagnosis and just suffer in silence. Thank goodness for forums like this!!!:ghug:
