Hey guys! First time on any forum. I have had crohns for 15 years. All in all I've had a alright time. The first 7 years was a lot of hospital visits. The last 8 years have been a lot better due to my organic eating. It is in my lieum. So, the first 6-7 years I didn't know how to eat so it caused strictures in my lieum. I didn't know it then but 5-6 years ago I had air come out of my penis while using the restroom. It was weird and I just let it go. It would continue to do this the next several years. Until a year ago I got a several UTI. WBC was over 100+. So I spent 9 days in the hospital on IV antibiotics. During this time I had a test done that highlighted my small and large intestine. This indicated that I had a fistula from my sigmoid colon to my bladder. And narrowing of my lieum. Had colonoscopy done and confirmed sigmoid to bladder fistula. Also, dilated my lieum and identified several more fistulas around cecum and lieum. I am not sure of the exact locations of those fistulas. I did remicade 7 years ago for 2 years. I stopped my own and ate healthy. Well, after colonoscopy he put me back on remicade. Took the first injection and 5 days later had a severe reaction to it with severe joint and muscle pain and was hospitalized for 2 days. Couldn't move and worse pain ever. Sooo, the next option was Humira. So I've been on Humira for almost two months. Also, a low dose of antibiotics to prevent UTI. My urine is still cloudy. But my levels are still on the high side of normal. So I have several questions. I have seen where humira takes 6-12 months to start working? Is that true for anyone? Also, is there anyone out there with a similar story as mine? I know I will need surgery and I think I have a ilieosigmoid. That's is where my ileum has pushed my sigmoid into my bladder. I have done a lot of research on this surgery. It's could seem complex but again it isn't. Has anyone had this surgery? Most times they just stitch the bladder and sigmoid and do a strictoplasty on the ileum. And stitch any other fistulas. There is also the option of resection of the sigmoid and anastomosis and removal of the ileum and cecum and anastomosis. Which takes your colon a long time to learn to adjust and absorb. That is where your B-12 is absorbed. Sooo, is anyone out there in the same boat as I am. I have also been having small flare ups the last several months on and off. I eat really good. Sometimes I eat way to much of things hard to digest and that's when I start having issues. And I have pain normal everyday from the fistula to my bladder. I know have cloudy urine and also white slim at the end of my pee. It was tested as Crystals and are normally from everything going on with my small intestines. Also, could be there because of the constant bacteria from my colon because of the fistula. I just know that I am ready for all this to be over. I've been hospitalized 6/7 times this last year for avg of 7-10 days a time. Thanks for letting me share.
I hope I meet some others in my same situation.

The longest period that i have heard is six months on Humira. I wish you much success with the surgery.
