Hi I've just joined and am also having a little trouble navigating page (not very tech savvy) my name is kristy I was diagnosed with Crohn's about 5years ago and to say it has been a roller coaster ride is an understatement my youngest of 3 children was 5 at the time. After countless miscarriages and not knowing why I had decided to give us a break and had my tubes clamped having always wanted a big family and feeling like I understood my Crohn's enough to think about having another child my husband and I discussed having clamps removed but before we could get very far I found out I was pregnant only to miscarry 2 days later. After seeing my doctor we discovered my right clamp had moved slightly we are now waiting on an appointment with a specialist to have clamps removed to give us a better chance of conceiving I'm very nervous about the affects of Crohn's on conception and also the toll on my body and also a baby I was relived to find this page with so many others discussing Crohn's and pregnancy any advice or others stories in similar circumstances would be greatly appreciated signed wishing and hopeful :)

Hiya Krisk78
and welcome

I've moved your post to this Parenting/TTC (trying to Conceive) it was stuck in someone else's thread, it's ok, hard to navigate sometimes.
hopefully you'll get a lot of advise, support and make new friends in here.

Hi krisk78 I really feel what u have been through. It's hard. I got diagnosed with crohns july 2011. Me and my partner wanted to try for a baby nov 2011. I found out I was pregnant dec of that year. The doctors had previously told me that it would be difficult for me to conceive. I had a flare up when I was 4 months pregnant, had to go into hospital and have a course of hydrocortisone. Now my little boy is nearly one and he is very healthy. I have had a small bowel resection bout four weeks ago and feeling amazing. Good luck !
