I've got lots of "D" going on and can't get it under control. Ant tips?

Also any food tips for gaining weight? I can't do sugar at all. Causes even more "D"....

hi Believer.. two things to think about, watch out for dehydration if you're suffering from prolonged Diarrhea. you can get powder preparation for rehydration either on prescription or over the counter - good practice to take at least one of these in every 24 hours you have the D.

bulking foods such as bread, bananas, cereal, potatoes, rice, pasta are good for slowing things down.. keep off anything acidic, and other fruits (including fruit juices) until it subsides.

anyone know what causes it, if its something food wise or if its just mostly the disease itself that causes the big "D"

You might ask your doctor about trying Questran, cholestyramine. After my surgery that was the only thing that would work for me, and it didn't work all the time.

As for food, I avoid just about anything raw or with lots of fiber (raw fruits, raw vegetables, pinto beans, bran, nuts, etc.)
