Discovery: Specific Macrophages Affect Crohn's Disease Severity

Seems strange that the article concludes that the greater proportion of a particular type of macrophage suggests that that macrophage is 'driving the inflammation seen in Crohn's disease' Isn't the difference between correlation and causation pretty important in science?

The study is interesting, but the conclusion of that particular article seemed weird to me.
