Do any of my meds have any effect on my genitals?

Hi, I am a 18 year old male and I was diagnosed with crohn's disease on january of this year. Since being diagnosed, I have been on various drugs. I was on prednisone for 2 months and now I am currently on Humira (adalimumab) and methotrexate. I have been on many anti-biotics, notably: rifampin, doxycycline hyclate, cephalex, as well as a few anti-inflammatories to treat various infections (swollen and infected ganglions and MRSA). I was also hospitalized a few times and put on morphine, and sent back home with hydropmorphone.

Before all of this, I was very comfortable with the size of my penis. Lately I've observed a change in length and girth (getting slightly smaller). I was wondering if the disease or any of the meds have anything to do with this.

I'm not the type of person to discuss such issues with others but I am a concerned and I just want to know if any other guys are experiencing similar effects of if they know anything about this.

I've been on a number of the medications and drugs you mention but not others. I'm 38. I can't say I've ever noticed any changes in size here.

For you is it happening all the time now or just occasionally?

Anxiety, blood flow, low-blood pressure etc can do odd things from time to time though.
As always, best to chat to your GP/Doctor for reassurance.

It seems to be all the time. Although I can easily get it up, its not as hard or big as before. It seems that as time goes by my erect penis decreases in size. As for blood pressure, it is normal, but I have be experiencing some anxiety due to school.

I'm 21, and have been on a few of the drugs you've mentioned as well, but I can only think of one possibility.... It's cold outside! Lol

Pred affects your testosterone levels as well causes issue with circulation, it generally give you a higher blood pressure.

Have your doctor check your testosterone levels, that could be a reason. In any case talk to your GP.

I'm sorry you're having trouble but I'm glad you felt comfortable to discuss this.

Your penis isn't getting smaller, I promise. It just sounds like it's not getting as much blood for some reason so it appears smaller. It would be like blowing up a balloon only 90% of the way instead of 100% like normal. It would appear smaller, but the capacity is still there and that will not go away. My guess is it's medication related, but talk to your doctor as mentioned. Once whatever returns to normal, your size will be just like it used to be.

It's too bad we never get great side effects like, "I feel like crap but holy moly my penis sure looks huge today!" huh?

Thanks for posting guy's! I was hesitant to see my doc about this because I'm not generally comfortable with this topic, but I suppose its the only right thing to do. On the bright side, if I get a girlfriend soon, she going to get a hell of a surprise some day when all goes to normal

Seriously, medical professionals think nothing of seeing penises. Once in awhile I'll ask my fiance, "So, how many penises did you see today?" Her average response is three.

There's no reason to be hesitant
