Hi all I have a fistula in my sigmoid colon to the groin, after 12 weeks on 6mp it closed and has remained closed for over a month. I have a partially working loop colostomy which my surgeon reckons is keeping the pressure of the fistula even though I pass wind rectally and have an average of two normal bowel movements daily. Will it always be like this, or if fistula remains closed do people get reversals or is the tract always there, I know I have had fistulas on my bum that are now closed 10 odd years, what's your thoughts.
