It nice to see there are others out there with the same feelings and insecurities that I have.

I was diagnosed with Crohns some 10 years ago. I have had my bowel reconstructed and two fistulas which had to be operated on.
Basically I have had all the symptoms associated with Crohns except weight loss (though I wouldn’t mind if I did) :ysmile:

I find that stress plays a part in how I feel on a day to day basis..... I’ve lost my mum in recent years and my marriage broke down recently.

It is hard to explain why although I look ok, inside I can fell like s...t, my stomach is tender, I need to run to the loo every time I eat something and the wind...... just don't get me started on how that makes me feel.

All in all (touch wood) I’m not doing too bad.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Have you spoken to your GI about the ongoing tenderness and trips to the loo? What meds (if any) are you currently on? Whilst you feel that you are not doing too bad it may be worth just checking as to why you are having this ongoing systoms?

I am glad you have decided to join us as there is a lot of helpful info and advice here.

xx

Angel Hi there.... I know the feeling, "Doing OK (on a good day)"......

I am only newly diagnosed but have lived with Crohns in my family for as long as I can remember and I know whats ahead of me.... now I know what my aunt went through for so long, i'm only gutted she isn't here to help me through my diagnosis but thank god for this forum.

Welcome to our humble community, we're so glad you joined :)

When you say you had your bowel reconstructed, what does that mean? You had some removed or they actually reconstructed it somehow?

All my best to you!
