Early Period .... Perimenopause? Prednisone?

Hi all,
I got my period two weeks early, this has never happened before to me. I have had occasional late periods that seemed to have something to do with being on prednisone but never early. Has anyone had this and had it be related to crohns or do I really need to be looking into perimenopause? I am 40.

All kinds of things can cause this, many of them very minor. I wouldn't have thought Crohn's would be a particularly likely cause. If you're worried, I'd check with a gynaecologist rather than a gastroenterologist.
