Entocort and moodiness

I was told entocort is considered a "topical" steroid since it isn't absorbed well by the gut. I do notice I am moody though and wondered if I'm just moody or if the entocort is having that effect on me. I have been on it for 5 wks.

Even though 'topical' is considered, it is hard not to wonder how it could not be systemic. Taken over a long period or even several weeks could possibly produce side effects, i do believe 'moodiness' to be one. If by 'moodiness' you mean bitchiness i would have to say yes it is a possibility. What about asking your pharmacist? And talk to your Dr.

Oh yes...bitchiness would be an accurate description.

The pharmacist's explanation when I first picked up the prescription sounded exactly like prednisone. I don't think that was correct but I do detect a certain crankiness about myself...

I felt, grouchy, argumentative, confrontational, and summed up to bitchiness.

I literally argued over 6 cents one time LOL! Not funny but WOW ~ really
