I'm having a flair that I think may be affecting my ileum and giving me a bout of proctitis at the same time. I've responded really well to Entocort in the past but my inflammation was restricted to my ileum only then. It doesn't seem to be working as well this time. Has anyone taken 9 g of Entocort capsules and also a 2.3 g enema daily? Is this too high a dose?

I've read where they've utilized not only 9mg of Entocort but 12mg and 15mg as well with one of those studies suggesting 12mg with a taper at for four weeks to 9mg is optimal. These were oral doses though. As such, my suggestion would be to check with your doctor 
I am currently taking 12 mg of entocort capsules now. I see improvement at 12 mg. I tapered down and started having problems again, so he boosted me up to 12mg and scheduled me a scope. so waiting for that, then see doctor again. I will be at 12 mg for at least 7 or 8 weeks. I also haven't noticed any side effects.
