Entocort

I have been prescribed entocort for my chron's ilieitis , my dr. prescribed the medication for only 1 month. I am taking 3 pills a day 3mg each , 9mg total. I have been hearing that you can't get off the drug immediately and that you have to diminish the dose. I have 90 tablets enough for 1 month, how would I go about diminishing the dose , aren't there going to be tablets left over? I've been trying to call my dr all week and there is no answer, his secratery never answers, even left a msg but nobody gets back to me....

They told me to take it for 2 months. At that time I went to see my GI and he then refilled the prescription but told me to go down to two pills a day. At my next appt. he said I would most likely be taken off them all together if I was still doing well.

Do you have any refills on the prescription? I would refill it and take 3 until you can get through to the Dr.

I was taking it for many months and my GI said nothing to me about tapering off or even about how to get off this drug... ask and get the info.
