I have been on Entocourt for the last month. I am having the shakes for a little while a couple hours after I take it. Does anyone else have this problem? I know it is better than the alternative!
Does entocort work to reduce inflammation like steroids? I'm in Australia, and you have to pay 300 a month to be on it, but I read the side effect are no where near as bad as prednisone, and it can't cause phaycosis.
Does it work as well? If so, and my inflammation goes up again in future, I'd rather pay for it then go on Pred again.
I also had the shakes while taking Entocort. I had lot of nervous energy as well and didn't need a lot of sleep, which was really weird!, normally I need a decent amount sleep to be able to function well. I always felt very restless.
Entocort is a steroid that reduces inflammation. Apart from my above post, Entocort worked very well for me. I didn't get any of the side effects as most people do from Pred. It is more expensive but definetely has way less side effects. I would take it again if I had to.
All- I take benedryl to help me sleep at night- so that side affect dosen't get me. And I agree this is soo much better than prednisone!!
When my husband picked up my refill they told him $1400 please! He said "I just about **** my pants! To which I replied welcome to Crohns !! After asking them to run it through my ins it was only $10 !!
