Can esophagitis make you choke on your food?

Eosinophilic esophagitis is an allergic disease which can cause stricturing in the esophagus and choking
Mostly found in kids
But it's a newer disease so some adults are now being dx
They would see it on an upper endoscopy

I was diagnosed with it by a GI who was awful. Had a endoscopy and he confirmed diagnosis even though nurses said all clear on the results. Fast forward to my good GI and he said all results say no oesophigitis, and he cant understand why i have that diagnosis at all. My bad GI refused to send my records and wouldnt talk to my new one so he cant understand his thinking at all. Bad one did say i had a tear in my oesophagus where id been vomiting so bad for such long periods?!?!
Can you get it that way?
