I started Humira Injection every other week on July 10, 2008. At the time my SED rate was 37.
I had my SED rate drawn yesterday and it is down to 28. Still elevated, but better. However, because my joint pain is still bothering me my doctor has decided to change my injections to weekly. So, I will be sure to let you know how that goes. The nurse advised me to be aware of any new symptoms because we are increasing the dose.

I just got denied by my insurance for weekly injections.
Hope yours goes through.
At least your numbers are down a little, so that's good.

I think insurance companies are beyond retarded. All they care about is money. If shots every week would help you avoid hospitalization and further complications from Crohn's then you'd think they'd view it as a cost benefit. Grrrrrrr!!!!!
I had my insurance company deny paying for my chemotherapy. My doctor wrote two lengthy letters to the insurance company stating this was the only medication that saved my life. I would have died without it. The still denied payment.
I hope things change soon in our healthcare system.
