Hey all - do you all or any of you suffer from one swollen joint? I've had an issue with my left knee for years and they say its connected to crohns and is a mono arthritis but can't seem to do anything with it. It comes up and goes down and i've had 2 arthroscopies (sp?) and countless steroid injections along with a lavage (is that what its called...hmm...not sure?) and an acid injection in it. Just wondered and thought I'd ask...just incase you knew something the doctors didn't!

Thanks x

Hey K!
I've noticed my knuckles and elbows swell and hurt. Not just one joint.

I had a fat knee when I was first diagnosed (a long time ago).Didn't know it was connected with crohns and it wasn't arthritic (or hasn't been in the last 35 years).
It was fluid in the joint (bursitis)... they kept sucking it out with a huge needle, but it just kept filling up again. It got better when I started exercising more... after being flat out in a hospital bed for weeks

Hey thats what happens with mine - fills up and they drain it - and so on and so on! I did the race for life a couple of months ago and my knee seemed to be quite good! Brilliant - Im going to get back into my exercise - thank you :)

I had some exercises from the physio which worked really well. You might want to ask about it. The Doctors messed about for weeks, then the physios sorted it out in no time!
