My kids have been suffering the stomach flu this week, so why am I grateful?

Jaedyn was hit with the bug too today - something we've been fearfully trying to avoid. We were really scared that her NG tube was going to come up with her stomach contents. When her vomiting spell passed, we looked at each other gratefully. She smiled her sweet smile and told me, "Mom, it's still in place!" For this, we are thankful!

I'm also glad that I didn't start her on 6 mp last night as I'd planned (we wouldn't know what was what), and I'm grateful that the tummy pains she's been having today after a couple great weeks are not a flare, but are likely the temporary flu like the rest of the kids... Oh, and finally I'm grateful that Jae's vomit all over the floor was just Peptamen Junior and not the nasty spaghetti chunks I had to clean up earlier in the week from her brother!

Woohoo! :):):)

Doesn't this disease give you such an appreciation for the simple things in life!

I so hope Jaedyn is soon on the mend, bless her.

I hope your family is feeling better soon.

:lol2:Yes I agree Peptamen is better than spaghetti sauce or in my case red Gatorade. What was I thinking.:yfaint:

Great attitude CarolinAlaska.

And I know what you mean, I have found gratitude in places I would have never thought possible since this disease.

Woohoo on keeping the tube in place during vomiting! I hope the virus clears your house quickly!

I'm glad it was just a tummy bug, and her tube stayed in place :D Hoping the bug leaves your house and everyone feels better.
