Hi!
I’m still waiting for my colonoscopy that is scheduled for late next month, but I’m starting to experience pain now. When I had my first appt with my GI doctor a week and a half ago, I was not having pain, but now I am. My next door neighbor is a doctor and he think I should have been seen sooner. He wants me to call my doctor first thing Monday morning.
How many of you had heard of your colon rupturing once you started to experience pain?

I asked the USA question because some folks here live in the UK and they have the NHS there, which seems to me to move at a snails pace.

I would call your GI on Monday morning at exactly the time they open. If they can't get you in SOON then go to the ER.

I originally had a follow-up appointment with the Family Nurse Practioner at my Gastroenterologist office scheduled for May 16. I do not like the FNP so I called my GIs office and said I wanted to see my DOCTOR. My new follow-up appointment was on April 24th ! Victory !

I AM NOT A DOCTOR SO THIS IS NOT MEDICAL ADVICE, JUST SHARING WHAT I THINK.

Take Care and hope you feel better soon. 🌻

Thanks!
I called this morning, I am waiting for the office to call me back.
All last night and this morning I’m having stomach flutters, feels kinda like pregnancy baby movements in the beginning. It’s an odd feeling. Also, with the random sharp pain that comes and goes. Is this normal?
I am googling and YouTubing too much. I’m starting to freak myself out. [emoji30][emoji30][emoji30][emoji30]

A lot of IBD patients have pain, but I've never heard of anyone's colon rupturing. If you have IBD I suspect you are having a flare, which is not good news but is unlikely to be so bad as a ruptured colon.

Hopefully, the doc can see you this morning.

Thank you!
The only reason I’m freaked out is because my coworkers husbands colon ruptured because UC and it was his first flare. She’s freaking me out and won’t stop telling me the horror stories. 🤬

I am going to my doctor. He said if I start experiencing more pain & have more blood tonight to go to the ER.

Hi! I went to see my doctor today. He is starting me on antibiotics and he moved my colonoscopy to this Friday.
Thanks for all the support!

Go to the ER if you feel pain, don't suffer. As far as " colon rupturing " - I don't think you would be on the computer typing this - that pain is not bearable. Good luck 2 u!

Thanks y’all.
I know I wouldn’t be typing if my colon was going to rupture, my coworker won’t stop talking about it though and it’s freaking me out.. lol [emoji849]
