Hello all,
Firstly sorry for posting again on this subject but I have been so pee'd off with the service I have gotten from the rheumatology clinic.
Around 3 weeks ago now I phoned them to make an appointment as my left ankle and left knee were swelling and painfull. The left knee I only had a steroid injection in a couple of weeks previously. After waiting two weeks hearing nothing I phoned again and was told they had no record of my call even though I spoke to one of the nurses and they assured me it would get done. At this point I thought no problem we will just start again this is before the pain becam agonising. I had to phone another number and no one answered so left a message begging them to get back as soon as possible this was over a week ago now. So got desperate and phoned my GP late last week who were lovely and said they would send a strongly worded fax over to them straight away. Only Monday afternoon 3 weeks after the original request I get a phone call luckily they said they will see me tomorrow but this is only because my GP sent that fax I received a letter from the rheumatology department for an appointment in two weeks time and had no phone call before that, I got this letter last week but was so dissapointed no one phoned to ask me what was going on and how urgent I needed to see them it all seemed a bit pointless. Next time I will just go to my GP get them to send a fax and then get an appointment within a couple of days if I am in this much pain again.
Sorry for the long post but really am annoyed. The pain got better by the ne of last week but yesterday started again and now it has woken me up at 3am I have taken tramadol but still feel like crying with pain and it takes a lot to make that happen. If you read this thanks but I understand if you didn't it's probably a bit of a rambling mess x
