Finally out of hospital

Hi all havent been on in a while as ive been in hospital for the last 2 weeks, i was admitted with severe constipation and a partial obstruction and vommitting, after being left on a drip and trying me out on movicol and realising it was not working they put me on milpar which sort of moved things along and it has now gone back to diareah, i am getting so fed up with it all how i feel is can some people when they flare can they get constipated as oposed to diareah like i have mostly but then it just shuts off when it wants and it puts me in hospital, severe pain etc, i am going see dietician tomorrow as everything i am still eating i am not tolerating and i seem to have this hard lump sticking out on my lrq near my belly button do you think i should mention this to her to see if she could get hold of my GI?

Yes I would mention this to her, just as a process of elimination. Did they not scan you in hospital? MRI or ultra sound? Any biopsies?

Hey Porter...not sure we've formally met yet, but I'm with Joan. What exactly did they do for you while you were confined at the hospital, any scans, xrays, etc??? The lump needs to be reported, sounds suspiciously like an intestinal hernia, where the intestines protrude through muscle wall. This could cause obstruction of the bowel. Definitely something that needs checked out. Have they put you on any additional meds?

Im on milpar at the moment to still help with going to the toilet, they did a ct scan and couldnt see anything as i was just bunged up literally with poop all on the right side. They did an xray to and it showed the same thing i started taking milpar and it started working an i just told them i had had enough and wanted to go home i wasnt getting any rest in the ward etc and felt worse, i am due to see my GI soon but am just wondering what this lump is its rock hard and just doesnt feel right seems very weird how you put it rottengut91 as it is on my right side and the constipation was there
