Well it took long enough (6 months) ! But I saw my new gi today and he was amazing !!!
I'm sooooo glad I switched !

He explained everything to me properly for a change and is sending me for an MRI to check for more strictures and to see what to do with them .
Also I've got another stool sample to do for fecal calprotectin as when I got really ill it was 471 then went down to 49 on pred an now I'm ill again he wants to see what level it is .

What is this test for ? An is my level bad or does it mean anything ?
I didn't ask coz I didn't want to look stupid I just nodded like I knew what he was talking about lmao !!

Thanks again all in advance x

Fecal calprotectin tests your poop for evidence of inflammation... The trouble with blood tests is that the inflam could be anywhere in your body but with this test it's specific...
Low is good, high is bad... Not sure of the exact cut-off but you're pretty safe in single figures... Mine was 250 once and they were kinda concerned by that... Sorry I can't be more specific :/
I hear good things about a GI in Gwent... Good move to switch! Hope you get fixed :)
