Had my first 4 pen inections of Humira today. So far so good.
Found pen injections no problems hardly noticed/felt the needle going in.
Had great support from the Gastro Liaison at John Hunter Hospital Newcastle Australia who injected the first two and I did the next two. I had a lot of questions also answered and they will be providing me with ongoing support when required.
I feel more comfortable dealing and using Humira after the support today.
5hrs after injections, slight headache feeling which is tolerable.
Lets hope no other problems arise.
Previous History:
Diagnosed Crohns mid 1980's
Treated with Prednisone off and on for just over 8 years.
Resection done 1995, Bowel Adhesion operation 2002- Resection mid 2010.
Further Crohns detected April 2011
Prescribed Imuran and suffered severe reaction ending in 2 weeks in hosp and developed clots in the lungs.
